After a 50-year career as an entrepreneur, Michael left corporate business work to develop his creativity. A long time photography hobbyist, Micael become an author with his first children’s book in 2024. The beautiful creative work is illustraed with the photography of Michael Drew Salmon. His pictures of a pair of mating eagles tell the fictional story of how “Liberty and Freedom Take Flight.” It’s an inspiring story for young people (and their parents) to remember some of the values that built our country.
Now in mid 2025 his first novel is ready for the world to enjoy!

A passion for family
Michael Salmon has been married for 51 years to the same beautiful woman that he met in high school. Later his theology studies he developed a love for ethical and religious subjects. This helps to drive the values behind the stories he tells and the books he is writing today.
Moving from hobbyist to semi-professional photographer, Michael’s writing career took focus once he stepped away from his business operations. An avid reader, people have always said that he is a great storyteller. Now those stories are coming to life in his first short novel, Two Billion Reason.
This is a great launching point for his new writing career! Michael has already told his publisher that he has two more books n the works. He is sure to attack them with the same intelligence, insight, and storytelling that created his business success.
